Who We Are

The St. Padre Pio Center for Deliverance Counseling [SPCDC] is an outreach apostolate of the Oblates and Missioner of St. Michael (OMSM). The SPCDC was founded in 2003 as an outgrowth of the general Spiritual Warfare and Deliverance ministry that the OMSM began in 1993.

While formal solemn exorcisms by the Church are still relatively rare, they are on the increase, but demonic harassments and influences among people who may not qualify for or need a solemn exorcism as become pandemic.

SPCDC responds to this problem with information, education, and advice, and by providing the following services:

Our Counselors are highly trained in theology, angelology/demonology, psychology, critical thinking, investigative techniques, interviewing skills, clinical issues, and all aspects of what is necessary to perform deliverance counseling in a professional and successful manner. The training is rigorous and not everyone can complete it successfully. Students undergo approximately three years of academic, practicum, and clinical training, including a one year intership. Upon graduation, the new deliverance counselor is required to attend a three year residency.
